The system combines existing technologies in vehicle tracking, mobile computing, RFID and geographical information systems (GIS) to create a single management system for all waste activities within an organisation.

Councils can benefit by having total visibilty of domestic waste collection activities, participation in recycling schemes, collection and disposal of WEEE and other bulky items and also provide 'value-added' services such as oversize-bins, assisted collections and time-scheduled collections.

Tamworth Borough Council are equipping all their domestic waste collection vehicles with the system, along with mobile computers to manage WEEE and bulky collections in the Borough.  In addition, their inspections and contract montoring staff will have mobile communications and RFID systems to drive a greater level of operational control.
