Variable Charging and Waste Incentives
Bartec Systems believe that variable charging is essential to continue the UK's impressive recent increases in recycling performance. The issue is very politically-charged and will be debated passionately in the media, with technological feasibility being just one component of the discussion.
We are confident that waste incentives are technically viable; the key is to apply proven techniques and make the technology as near to invisible to the users as possible. Our experience with waste collection authorities throughout the UK gives us a unique understanding of the needs of householders, waste managers, collection crews and customer service staff.
We have a variety of established working systems which are not only proven as reliable and fit for purpose, but also well-liked by collection crews and other users. These systems are already driving increases in recycling without the powers for variable charges and will underpin our strategy for assisting councils with waste incentive schemes.
